Severe Storms to Threaten Florida

The storm set to unleash drenching rain across the Deep South and substantial snow over the mid-Atlantic will also spark potentially damaging thunderstorms across the Florida Peninsula Friday.

Thunderstorms will ignite as incoming cooler air clashes with the warmth currently covering the state.

Damaging winds and blinding downpours will be the main threats from the strongest thunderstorms.

It is not out of the question that an isolated tornado or two could touch down and cause destruction.

Be sure to seek shelter immediately if any storm-related warning is issued for your area.
