Danielle No Threat To Florida
Hurricane Danielle, with maximum sustained winds Tuesday near 100 mph, has strengthened to a Category 2 storm as it churns far out over the Atlantic and could become a major hurricane by early Wednesday. However its projected path shows that it should pass well east of Bermuda and pose no threat to Florida.
Showers and thunderstorms continue to become better organized in association with another area of low pressure passing about 100 miles south of the Cape Verde Islands, and it appears that a tropical depression is forming. Advisories on this system could be initiated later today. There is a 90% chance of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48hrs. as it moves west-northwestward at near 15mph.
