Atlantic Basin Is Heating Up
Tropical Depression 7 has formed over 400 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands. This system seems destined to become a tropical storm and then a hurricane over the next couple of days. Currently its projected 5-day trajectory shows it headed for our region.(see above)
As of 11am Wednesday Hurricane Danielle had top winds of 85 mph and was located a little over 700 miles from the Leeward Islands. It is moving toward the west-northwest at 17 mph. A turn to the northwest is expected later today through Thursday. No direct impact is expected on Florida.
