Not many residents across the South will complain about the weather today.Underneath a dome of high pressure, bright sunshine will prevail, and humidity will remain low. Temperatures will also be comfortable with highs in the 70s and 80s expected.
Not all of the South will enjoy this delightful weather. Steamy air will remain in place over South Florida, causing a few thunderstorms to rumble.
The return of higher humidity will also help trigger severe thunderstorms over the lower Mississippi Valley later today.
