Tropical Storm Erika

Tropical Storm Erika faces many challenges on its westward march - wind shear, dry Saharan air and probable interference from making landfall on the Leeward Islands plus possible impacts on Puerto Rico and Hispaniola. Most forecasting  models show Erika's forecasted path to brush Puerto Rico and then head in the direction of Florida's SE coast by Sunday to Monday.  Possible projected storm paths for early next week range from Erika going up the eastern Florida and US coastline to crossing Florida into the eastern Gulf of Mexico.

Regardless of Erika's eventual path, now would be a good time for businesses and homeowners to review their Hurricane preparedness action plan.
