Deep South Snow Map
Snow is on the way for the Deep South today and Friday, just about as deep in the south as you can get.
Rain will fall along the immediate Gulf Coast, but not too far to the north, snow will be coming down.
An impressive swath of 3-6 inches of snow is expected from around Lubbock, Texas eastward into central Georgia.
Most of northern Texas and Louisiana will be blanketed by over 3 inches of snow by storm's end. From 1-3 inches is expected around the periphery of the heavier snow.
This will cover an area from central Texas the whole way to the Atlantic Ocean.
If you have any travel plans in the South over the next two days, by sure to plan ahead and allow extra time. Slick, difficult travel is anticipated.
