The National Weather Service In Tallahassee Has Issued A Hard Freeze Warning...Which Is In Effect From 9 PM EST /8 PM Cst/ This Evening To 10 AM EST /9 AM Cst/ Monday. The Hard Freeze Warning Also Remains In Effect Until 10 AM EST /9 AM Cst/ This Morning.

After A Brief Period Of Hard Freeze Conditions This Morning In The Normally Colder Inland Locations...Even Colder Temperatures Are Expected Tonight. Minimum Temperatures Will Be In The Upper Teens To Lowers 20s Tonight Across Most Inland Areas...With Mid 20s Near The Coast And In Urban Centers Such As Central Tallahassee. Total Freeze Durations Will Range From 14 Hours In The Coldest Rural Inland Locations To Around 8 Hours Near The Coast. Hard Freeze
Conditions Could Last Up To 5 Hours. Temperatures Are Predicted To Be Even Colder Monday Night...With The Coldest Night Of The Week Coming On Tuesday Night.

A Hard Freeze Warning Means Temperatures Will Likely Drop Into The Mid 20s Or Lower For Two Or More Hours...With A Prolonged Period Of Sub-Freezing Temperatures. These Conditions Can Kill Crops And Can Also Be Harmful To Persons Not Properly Dressed For The Cold As Well As Sensitive Outdoor Pets. A Hard Freeze Can Cause Unprotected Pipes To Burst. Unprotected Pipes Are Usually Confined To Trailers And Houses On Stilts Along The Coast.
