Dense Fog Creates Slow Morning Commute in the South

Dense fog has developed across a good portion of the South this morning.

From southern Texas through the Gulf states, the southern Appalachians and Virginia, low clouds and fog could dangerously reduce the visibility and create slow traffic and flight delays.

Meanwhile, a stalled front will spark isolated, but heavy downpours over the Gulf Coast.

These downpours could also reduce visibility, slowing travel along I-10 and other area highways and side roads.

There could even be localized flash flooding, including in New Orleans which was hit hard by recent heavy rain.

Flights could also be delayed by the locally heavy downpours.
