Flood Warning Continues for Apalachicola River

The National Weather Service - A flood warning continues for the Apalachicola River near Blountstown, affecting Franklin, Calhoun, Gulf and Liberty counties.

Minor flooding is forecast. At 8 p.m. Wednesday the flood stage was 13.6 feet. Flood stage is 15 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to rise to near 20.3 feet by Saturday early afternoon. At 19 feet, minor lowland flooding will occur at Douglas Landing and Willis Landing campgrounds.
