Governor Seeks Disaster Declaration

Gov. Charlie Crist has sought a federal disaster declaration for flooding in North Florida in a letter today to President Barack Obama.

The Governor's letter seeks public assistance for 11 counties -- Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton and Washington -- and mitigation-grant assistance for the whole state.
