Southeast Regional Forecast
While the same high pressure in charge over the Northeast keeps most of the Southeast rain free on Monday, thunderstorms will rumble over south Florida and along the northern Gulf Coast.
Temperatures will vary from slightly below average in Mississippi to as much as 10 degrees above average in North Carolina.
Highs will peak only in the 80s from the lower Mississippi Valley to the southern Appalachians but in the 90s across the Carolinas, the northern and central Florida Peninsula, Oklahoma and Texas.
On Tuesday, thunderstorms over the Gulf will brush some of the coastal areas while a few more thunderstorms pop across the southern Plains.
