TROPICAL STORM BONNIE WAS ONSHORE AND MOVING THROUGH MIAMI DADE COUNTY AND IS FORECAST BY THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER TO MOVE THROUGH THE MAINLAND SOUTH FLORIDA AND INTO THE GULF WATERS LATER THIS AFTERNOON. RAINFALL TOTALS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AROUND 2 TO 3 INCHES WITH ISOLATED AREAS UP TO 5 INCHES WITH THIS EVENT. THERE ARE STILL SOME UNCERTAINTIES WITH THE FORECAST TRACK AND INTENSITY, AND THIS COULD CHANGE THE RAINFALL AMOUNTS ACROSS THE AREA.
THE GROUNDS ARE NEAR SATURATION DUE TO THE RAINFALL ACCUMULATED SINCE MAY. THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS COULD LEAD TO SOME STREET AND LOW LYING FLOODING. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY FOR SIGNIFICANT FLOODING WITH ROADS BECOMING IMPASSABLE AND FLOOD WATERS ENTERING STRUCTURES
