Powerful Storms to Rattle Southeast
A stalled front stretching over the Southeast Friday will spark showers and thunderstorms once again throughout the region. During the afternoon, the storms will be numerous, and some from northern Louisiana through northern Georgia could turn gusty with flooding downpours and hail.
Vivid lightning will also accompany the storms. Be prepared to head inside if one of these heavy thunderstorms enters the vicinity. Similar storms rumbled over the region Thursday, and a teenager near Maxie, Miss., was struck by lightning.
