You sick of all this rain?

Deal with it - because a lot more is on the way.

The National Weather Service said we could be in for a string of soggy afternoons, at least through the weekend, thanks to a low-pressure system over the Gulf of Mexico.

That system is creating instability in the atmosphere, which could result in thunderstorms, gusty winds and possibly even tornadoes, said meteorologist Robert Molleda.

Although the weather service doesn't anticipate widespread flooding, he added, "There will be the possibility of isolated significant flooding, especially since grounds are saturated in most areas."

Today's forecast: An 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with the possibility of heavy rain. Highs in the upper 80s, lows in the mid 70s.
