Rattling Southeast Storms and More Heat

Storms will again develop along the leading edge of brutal heat and humidity in the South.

Areas from central Kentucky and Tennessee through Georgia and Florida will have to watch for a few dangerous storms. The most widespread storms will be in southern parts of Florida, including the Miami area, while storms closer to Nashville and Knoxville will be isolated.

The main concerns with the storms will be damaging winds gusts over 60 mph and heavy downpours that could cause local flash flooding. Brief hail could occur in the strongest storms as well as some water spouts.
